Cadence Revolution – Show 75

Success will never be a big step in the future, success is a small step taken just now.

LFB (Leo Frappier Band) and Soul Sista Shakti come together to combine the vibes of romance, passion and love to in a musical blanket of emotions to warm things up.

The rhythm of Brazil and cool jazz vibes back the vocal talents of Aline de Lima, before Elana Stone dips her musical brush for a dab of jazz, a stroke of pop, a sweep of folk and a rhythm that blends it all into a unique sound.

Bostonian Jillian Goldin cranks things up with a blend of dance floor grooves and Celtic rhythm to show off her vocals that can drift as easily as a feather on a breath of air but with an emotional power that hits you like a hot summer wind.

Vienna’s Tosca (producers Rupert Huber and Richard Dorfmeister) are back showing off their trademark mastering of the tribal and dance floor beats into something that fills the body with an urge to move.

Bostich (Ramón Amezcua) and Fussible (Pepe Mogt) have come together a the collaboration known as Tijuana Sound Machine  taking the electronic sound and infusing it with the organic sound of traditional accordion, and horn-heavy Norteño sounds from Mexico for mass appeal.

Ashley Wallbridge started off at a young age as a DJ that saw him win eighteen UK competitions with fake ID, and this latest release show us why age should never be a factor where talent is involved. Especially when teamed up with the vocal talent of Meighan Nealon.

Speaking of talent, it is something Atlanta’s Ananda Project has been blessed with over their ten year career, and shows no signs of diminishing with another great release that melds meld euphoric soulful house with contemplative R&B, spiritually-minded cosmic jazz-fusion, organic Balearic grooves, supple electronic textures and percussive Afro-Latin rhythms, as we then groove into the vibe being laid down by DJ Paula.

When Helena Cutter (singer) and Denis Porto (composer and singer) came together for to create a soundtrack, they instead wound up creating the musical project know as Brazuka Fina that showcases the rhythm and beat of the Carioca samba and other Brazilian folkloric influences with the vibration of the electronic sound.

New York’s Destination X (Pisidia and DJ Xtreame) take their high-energy production formula, infuse it with futuristic, underground and trendy styles and then add the vocal talents of Lisa Nicole for this latest track that is garnering lots of major play time.

The UK’s electronic music duo of The Black Ghosts (Theo Keating and Simon Lord) are back with more of their self described “perverse, personal pop music” before we finish the workout segment with Lilith Fair artist, Deni Bonet.

World class sing/songwriter/ violinist, Deni Bonet ditched the staid world of classical violin because she hated wearing black and having to sit still and has leant her talent to play alongside the likes of Cyndi Lauper, REM, and Sarah McLachlan, but now leads her own band as has had her sound described as blending equal parts Sheryl Crow with the B52s.

“Words are powerful,” says Pacifika’s lead singer and chief lyricist Silvana Kane. “We wanted a word that described the music and our feelings. Pacifika sounds warm and eternal, like the ocean itself, open to limitless possibilities.” Something that also describes the music this trio, based out of Vancouver, turns out that is infused with jazz, tinged with Latin, and powered by deep grooves, of cracking percussion and the occasional burst of exhilarating guitar noise.

We close things out with the downtempo chill sound of Jon Kennedy who is on a mission to make his live performances unique musical events drawing on the energy and vibe of the audience to guide and enhance the music.
